Austin, along with two guests, Friend Sam and Friend Shawn, give their instant reactions to an exciting first round of the 2017 NBA Draft. The trio begin their talk breaking down the shocking Jimmy Butler deal. Is Minnesota a legit contender? Is this the start of a Chicago Bulls rebuild? Then, they transition to an extensive analysis of the top 10 draft picks, including top picks Markelle Fultz and Lonzo Ball. The rest of the top 10 was pretty straight forward except a substantial slide for Malik Monk, the Kentucky star went 11th to the Charlotte Hornets.
After dissecting how Frank Ntikilina fits in a big market and a few Phil Jackson napping jokes, each give one winner and one loser for draft night, but not before some coyote howls interrupt them. Being the homer he is, Friend Sam is not hesitant to share his love for new San Antonio Spur, Derrick White. They also discuss the trades which allowed the Boston Celtics to be a competitive team in the East as well as draft Jayson Tatum at 3rd overall. Finally, the guys finish with a small discussion of the OG Anunoby, perhaps the most interesting name in the draft.
