Baseball Hall of Fame Logo Will Be on All MLB Caps This Weekend

As Major League Baseball resumes its season, the Baseball Hall of Fame logo will be displayed on MLB caps throughout the league. All MLB caps will display the logo on the right-hand side during games played July 19-21, 2024.

This comes as the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown is welcoming the Class of 2024: Adrian Beltré, Todd Helton, Joe Mauer, and Jim Leyland. There will be 51 Hall of Famers returning to Cooperstown for the Induction Ceremony. Among them are last year’s inductees, Scott Rolen and Fred McGriff.

Josh Rawitch, President of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, had the following to say about the MLB caps:

“We are thrilled that the Hall of Fame logo will be worn by the best players in the game this weekend and be seen by millions of fans around the world. As the Class of 2024 is honored in Cooperstown and the Museum celebrates its 85th birthday, it is fitting that the legends of tomorrow will be a part of history today with this first-of-its-kind cap.”

MLB Caps to Feature Baseball Hall of Fame Logo This Weekend

In addition to this year’s BBWAA and Contemporary Baseball Era Committee inductees joining baseball immortality during the Induction Ceremony at the Clark Sports Center, Hall of Fame Induction Weekend will also feature the Awards Presentation on Saturday, July 20. Saturday’s ceremony will take place at the Alice Busch Opera Theater at 3 PM and honor longtime Boston Red Sox broadcaster Joe Castiglione with the Ford C. Frick Award and the late Gerry Fraley with the BBWAA Career Excellence Award for writers (formerly the J. G. Taylor Spink Award). There will also be a tribute to the 2004 Boston Red Sox World Series championship team, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The Parade of Legends will follow later on.

MLB caps will not be the only items displaying the logo this weekend, as MLB on Fox reporter and insider Ken Rosenthal will be wearing the logo on his bow tie when the Los Angeles Dodgers host the Red Sox on Saturday night. All proceeds will be going to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum and benefit their non-profit mission.

The New Era caps are currently available for purchase through the Baseball Hall of Fame’s website.
