Another fantastic day for the Best Bets series, sweeping the officials and hitting some nice +money picks in the fun plays. The St. Louis Cardinals’ pitching staff really made us sweat this one out, allowing Flaherty to go deep into the seventh and throw 111 pitches! He ended the game on five Ks, cashing our under. On the flip side, our second official play was a complete slam dunk. The Baltimore Orioles’ youngsters rallied early and often, shelling Luis Severino and the New York Yankees’ bullpen for 13 runs before the top of the fifth! Ryan O’Hearn made sure to have his own slice of the action, batting in four runs on the day and easily cashing the one+ RBI Play. Let’s keep this train rolling!

On to today’s Best Bets!
Royals @ Guardians
Our first play of today takes us to the great state of Ohio for an AL Central matchup between the Kansas City Royals and Cleveland Guardians. This is the second game of a four-game series between the division rivals. With the first game going the Guardians’ way in convincing fashion, dispatching the Royals 6-1 last night. For tonight, I expect more of the same.
The Royals will be trotting out Daniel Lynch as their starter, and he will act as our target tonight. Through seven games started he has amassed a 4.14 ERA, a 1.23 WHIP, and 28:13 K:BB over 41 1/3 innings pitched. This translates to a paltry 12.5% K rate for the season, and he will be facing off against a Guardians team that loves to make contact. Although the line is set quite low at 3.5, I like our chances.
The Pick: Daniel Lynch Under 3.5 Ks (-110) 1U
Rangers @ Nationals
The Texas Rangers travel to our nation’s capital this evening to take on the Washington Nationals. Which turns out to be fantastic news for the slumping Rangers. The Nationals at home this year are a dismal 13-31, including 1-14 in their last 15. It is the perfect spot for the AL West leaders to turn their July around and secure a win.
This matchup is going to be all about offense. The starters for both teams, Cody Bradford for the Rangers and Trevor Williams for the Nationals have had seasons to forget up to this point. Both hurlers sport an ERA well above 4.00 and I suspect this trend will continue this evening. That brings us to the offense for each side. The Rangers boast arguably the best starting nine in the majors with a team batting average of .275, 519 runs scored, and a run differential of +153. On the other hand, we have the Nationals who have a respectable team average of .260, but have only scored 356 runs this season, and have been outscored by their opponents by 88 runs.
The Pick: Texas Rangers F5 -0.5 (-114) 1U
Fun Pick: Adolis Garcia 1+ RBI (+100) 0.25U
Additional Fun Picks
Adam Duvall 1+ RBI (+130) 0.25U
Cardinals @ White Sox Under 0.5 Runs 1st Inning (NRFI) (-120) 0.5U
