Giants left fielder Heliot Ramos (17) runs to third base in the first inning against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium.

SF Giants Roster Moves: Ramos to Injured List, Minor League Swap

Several San Francisco Giants roster moves were announced ahead of Saturday night’s game against the Athletics. The team placed Heliot Ramos on the 10-day injured list with a right quad strain. Meanwhile, they recalled outfielder Will Brennan from Triple-A Sacramento while optioning right-hander Tristan Beck. Left-hander Erik Miller also rejoined the team following a rehab assignment.

SF Giants Roster Moves Include IL Stint for Heliot Ramos

Ramos was off to a fairly steady start at the plate in 2026. In 44 games, the 2017 draft pick had a slash line of .267/.307/.424 with four home runs, 20 RBI, and 12 doubles. On a team starved for offense, ranking dead last in MLB with 149 runs scored, his numbers don’t appear half bad, but they have not carried the team to a winning record.

Over the last two seasons, Ramos has been a rare power source for the Giants, hitting 22 home runs in 2024 and 21 last season. For a time, it seemed he could become the first Giants player to hit 30 home runs in a season since Barry Bonds, before Willy Adames ultimately accomplished the feat last season. San Francisco hopes Ramos won’t miss too much time, needing all the offense they can get as the season wears on.

Other Giants Roster Moves

Brennan will return to the Giants roster after appearing in five games so far this season. The 28-year-old signed a one-year deal with San Francisco in February, having spent parts of four seasons with the Cleveland Guardians before that. He was limited to only six major league games in 2025 after undergoing surgery on his elbow and, later, his groin. Brennan is still looking for his first hit in a Giants uniform, starting out 0-for-9.

Beck debuted with the Giants in 2023. Over parts of four seasons, he has a 4-3 record with a 3.87 ERA, a 1.164 WHIP, and 124 strikeouts. Meanwhile, Miller rejoins the bullpen after making 12 appearances earlier this season. The 2019 draftee has a 3.18 ERA and 1.235 WHIP across 11 1/3 innings of work.
