The Atlanta Braves Unveil Some Fire City Connect Jerseys
The Braves, on Thursday, were one of eight Major League Baseball teams to unveil their City Connect jerseys, which are a throwback to one of the golden eras in Braves history.
The new jerseys are the Braves’ classic “powder blue” 1980s style uniforms that make one think of Braves legend, outfielder Dale Murphy. The Braves were a fixture in American households across the country when they appeared on SuperStation.
The “Atlanta” across the chest pays tribute to the team’s history. While the script is updated and the lettering is brightened. The “ATL” on the sleeve patch is also a throwback to SuperStation.
The Braves cap will also feature a new “a” logo, complementing the uniform. The V-neck of the jersey was designed to maximize comfort and was an idea of the Braves players.

The Braves’ Offense Has Complemented Their Elite Pitching
The new uniforms may help the Braves continue their momentum, as they’re going for the “you look good, you play good” approach. To complement the pitching staff, the offense has also been at the top of baseball.
The Braves have the sixth-best team OPS (.750), are fifth in team batting average (.254), second in home runs (17), and have been disciplined at the plate (23rd in strikeouts, 99).
Catcher Drake Baldwin has been one of the Braves’ best hitters — .321 batting average and 1.012 OPS — to begin the year and leads the MLB in home runs (five). The reigning Rookie of the Year also leads baseball in runs (12), RBI (15), and total bases (33). Baldwin’s production could help his chances of making his first career All-Star team this season.
