Spencer’s Best Bets for Baseball: July 20th

Best Bets July 20th

The Best Bets series is back in black! Two profitable days in a row on the back of an excellent Eduardo Rodriguez performance. He gave us a bit of a scare in the 5th inning coughing up two doubles which turned into two earned runs. Nevertheless, Rodriguez and the Detroit Tigers did enough to cash us out. Today is a new day, let’s keep this streak alive!

On to Today’s Best Bets!

Padres @ Blue Jays

In our first matchup for the day, we head across the border to the great white north where the Toronto Blue Jays host the San Diego Padres for this series finale. So far in this series, things have been all Padres. Holding the Blue Jays to a single run in the first two games while scoring 11 runs themselves. While it is tough to beat the same team three times in a row on the road, I like the Padres to sweep here. They will have the pitching advantage with Blake Snell taking the mound. A man that has been nothing short of brilliant in his last five starts, with a 3-1 record, only two earned runs, and an insane 46 strikeouts.

The Pick: San Diego Padres F5 Innings Result (+114) 1U

*** Make sure to take the “Result” bet, the odds are better than the “Run Line” odds. Even though they are the same wager.

Fun Pick: F5 Innings Run Total Under 4.5 (-114) 0.5U

Brewers @ Phillies

In our second play of the day we head to the beautiful banks of the Delaware River, where the Philadelphia Phillies host the Milwaukee Brewers for a series finale of their own. The teams enter this third game with a split series, the Phils taking the first game and the Brewers the second. Tonight’s matchup is set to be a war of attrition. Both teams will be sending out great pitchers in Corbin Burnes and Taijuan Walker. Both had their struggles in the first have of the season, but have seemed to find a groove here in the past few weeks. With that said, and as much as it pains me to say this, we are going with Burnes and the Brewers tonight. This Phillies lineup just loves to strike out too much.

The Pick: Corbin Burnes Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-108) 1U

Additional Fun Picks

Tyler Glasnow Under 8.5 Ks (-122) 0.5U
