Pensacola Blue Wahoos List Stadium on Airbnb to Rent

Blue Wahoos

There are plenty of things in life that can cause double-takes. For those who have longed to spend the day living like a baseball player, the Pensacola Blue Wahoos have the thing for you.

The Pensacola Blue Wahoos, the current Double-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, have listed their stadium on Airbnb for guests to rent. It’s a package worth $1,500 (plus fees) and accommodates up to ten people.

What Is Included

As stated on the listing, the three-time Southern League ballpark of the year, “guests are welcome to hit from home plate, play catch in the outfield, run the bases, enjoy a picnic in the outfield, or find other creative uses for the field.” For those wishing to bat like a pro, access to the stadiums batting tunnel with a full batting practice set-up available.

Guests have full access to the stadiums’ clubhouse, batting cage, and field. The package includes things for the overnight crowd. There is a bedroom connected to the clubhouse. It includes four bunk beds and two queen-sized beds.

Guests will also be treated to two flat-screen TV’s and a kitchenette. The kitchenette is furnished with a fridge, freezer, coffee maker, and microwave. A Blue Wahoos stadium employee will be on site to provide security and answer questions. The list of amenities also includes two bathrooms with showers connected directly to the clubhouse. Going further, if guests so choose, they can access the clubhouse gaming system and pingpong table.

Even though this may seem a little odd, listing their stadium on Airbnb is just one of several ideas. The team, which is co-owned by pro golfer Bubba Watson, has been looking for unique ideas since the very beginning of the pause in baseball. The stadium has hosted a local baseball tournament already. They have also set up a disc golf course on the field for fans to enjoy on the weekends. The team also plans to hold a movie and fireworks night on May 29.
