Big Moves Coming For the Angels
The Angels are making moves to be a top contender this coming season. Last week the Angels traded four prospects for Dylan Bundy. Bundy will provide depth to a starting rotation that needs it. Now today the Angels traded away Zack Cozart and his 12 million dollar salary for cash considerations. However, the trade did cost the Angels their top draft pick in 2019.
The Angels are rumored to be in on every big free agent on the market. There are two big fishes in the pond who could be on the verge of signing new contracts. Gerrit Cole is a player that has always been linked to the Angels. Cole is a Southern California native and the lure of coming home to join a team with Mike Trout might be too tempting to turn down.
Anthony Rendon is a name that has been surfacing with the Angels for a few days now. A pairing of Rendon and Trout would make the Angels a very dangerous baseball team. Could it be possible for the Angels to sign both Cole and Rendon? Angels owner Arte Moreno wants to win at any cost.
Angels owner Arte Moreno has told folks he loves Anthony Rendon. They haven’t been linked much to AR but word is in they are in.

Zack Cozart
Cozart is a nine-year veteran with a career batting average of .247 with 87 HR and 305 RBI. The 33-year-old Cozart joins the Giants as yet another player over 30 years old who is making a lot of money. Cozart’s 12.6 million dollar salary now makes seven players on the Giants roster over 30 years old with a combined salary of 119 million.
Will Wilson
Will Wilson looks to be the caveat in the trade for the Giants. Wilson was drafted with the 15th overall pick in the 2019 MLB draft out of North Carolina State University. In three seasons with the Wolfpack Wilson batted .314 with 32 HR and 139 RBI in 606 at-bats. In rookie ball with the Orem Owlz Wilson batted .275 with five HR and 18 RBI in 189 at-bats.
