The New York Mets are finally making the move their fans want. The Mets head to Colorado on Tuesday, and they are bringing Amed Rosario with them.

New York Mets’ Amed Rosario in Lineup at Coors Field Tuesday

Anthony DiComo of MLB.com broke the news today.

Sandy Alderson also broke the news to SNY.

Alderson confirmed that Rosario will be in the starting lineup on Tuesday. The timing is also perfect, because hitting in Coors feel is perfect for building confidence at the plate.

Rosario will bring his talents that are much needed. He will sure up the infield defense a little bit, and he was hitting .328/.367/.466 in Las Vegas.

In addition to his offense, he has shown a little bit of speed. Rosario has 19 doubles, seven triples and 19 stolen bases in 2017.

He could add a spark to the Mets lineup, and allow Michael Conforto to move closer to the middle of the lineup, where he belongs.

According to ESPN.com, there will be some other changes along the infield as well:

Jose Reyes will see time at second base, and Neil Walker will split time between second and first.

Given the fact the Mets traded Lucas Duda, Dominic Smith should be soon to follow. It won’t inject the Mets enough to get them back in the Wild Card race for 2017, but now Mets fans can get a clearer view of the picture.

All indications point to a positive future for Rosario, and the Coors Field debut is just the beginning. Let’s see if the Mets do the right thing and lead him off. If they do, the sky’s the limit for him and them.
