NWSL FIFA 23 Ratings for Star Players

San Diego Wave FC player, Alex Morgan, dribbles the ball on August 13, 2022

Next week sees the release of EA Sports’ annual FIFA series with FIFA 23. This is set to be the final installment under the FIFA name. With that in mind, EA Sports is going all out this year. Not just with new features to the men’s teams, but also with the female players in the game. The inclusion of women’s club teams along with the usual national team squads promises to be a game changer in the representation of the world’s game.

NWSL clubs have not been announced as of yet. So I compiled a list of all the star NWSL FIFA 23 ratings from players representing their national teams using the recently released ratings from the EA Sports website. Despite the lack of official NWSL rosters, eleven of the twelve of the league’s teams have a playable character in this year’s game.

EA Sports and the future of club women’s soccer

EA Sports has said they hope to add additional women’s leagues potentially this year. For now, this serves as a reminder of the level of talent in NWSL. From the seventh highest rated player in America, Alex Morgan (who scored two goals earlier this month against the Washington Spirit), to the many international talents making a living playing in the United States. Hopefully, we will be getting full rosters sooner rather than later. But for now, the inclusion of British and French club teams makes me think more gamers will begin watching women’s leagues in reality.

FIFA 23 comes out on September 30th. It will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Stadia, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
