AEW Rankings For 6/2/21

AEW Rankings

AEW rankings are officially live following a chaotic Double or Nothing pay-per-view. The scene has now been set with these rankings following a week where they were not released heading into the major show. With a new champion crowned in the women’s division, that looks the most different but there’s a lot of implications from that show. Here’s a look at the updated AEW rankings.

Jungle Boy has had a grand couple of weeks. Following his win in the Casino Battle Royale, he has taken claim of the top spot in the men’s rankings. He will get his AEW World Championship match next Wednesday night. Hangman Page rises up after defeating Brian Cage at Double or Nothing and could get back to number one following the world title match — whichever way it may go. Orange Cassidy could be the biggest surprise of all, as he was pinned by Kenny Omega while PAC was not, but remains in the top five in all of AEW for the men.

Number one no more. A new champion was crowned at Double or Nothing as Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. defeated Hikaru Shida to become AEW Women’s World Champion. That has led to Shida being in the rankings for the first time in a long time, coming in at No. 4. Thunder Rosa is now the top contender for Baker and considering that she has an unofficial win over the new champion, this could be the direction they go. Nyla Rose notably has a win over Baker as well this year. “Legit” Leyla Hirsch makes her way into the rankings as well.

Following the loss of Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston at Double or Nothing, they now fall to fifth place. Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky, who were in second place last time rankings were released, fall completely out as a loss to Sting and Darby Allin cost them their spot. Private Party also makes their first appearance in some time.
