After months of speculation and more than enough teases on Being the Elite, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, the duo formerly known as The Revival, made their AEW debut on Wednesday night.
Following the opening match which saw Matt Hardy and The Young Bucks defeat the team of Private Party and Joey Janela, chaos broke out when the Bucks were assaulted by The Butcher and the Blade, continuing the longstanding animosity between the two teams.
But that wasn’t all that would happen in the aftermath of the match. Emerging from the crowd, appeared Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, otherwise known as FTR. While it seemed the duo would target The Young Bucks, instantly fulfilling a tag team match that has been a thing of dreams for a long time now, Harwood and Wheeler instead turned their attention toward the Butcher and Blade. FTR took out the team and before leaving the ring had a brief staredown with the Bucks as the commentators hyped up their arrival and what it could mean for the tag team division.

Since 2017, fans have been clamoring for these two tag teams to share a ring, a desire both teams also shared. The two would proceed to tease an encounter with one another, even when FTR was under the employ of World Wrestling Entertainment. When it was announced that Harwood and Wheeler left the company, fans speculated where they would go next. This past Wednesday, fans were stunned when they saw the team formerly known as The Revival make their way into AEW territory.
