ICW No Holds Barred (formerly ICW New York) is set to become one of the first US indie promotions to return to a live audience with the announcement of No Holds Barred Volume 2: Deathmatch Drive-In. Following up on January’s first installment of the No Holds Barred series, it will be no submissions, no disqualification, and no rules, in what’s sure to be a violent delight.

So how exactly is ICW No Holds Barred going to pull off an event in these COVID-19 times? First off, the event is being held at an outdoor venue in Atlantic City, New Jersey. To make sure people are social distancing properly there’s a twist – all spectators must remain in their cars, akin to a drive-in movie. It was limited to just 50 cars, in short time the event has already sold out (tickets only went on sale at 2pm on Wednesday). The event, being held on Saturday, June 27, will air live on IndependentWrestling.tv (IWTV).
ICW No Holds Barred is one of New York’s longest-running indie promotions, founded by Jac Sabboth in 2001 as Impact Championship Wrestling (ICW). It was an early stomping ground for indie stars like Low Ki, Amazing Red, Homicide, Da Hit Squad (Dan Maff & Monsta Mack), Mike Quackenbush, and others, as well as many former ECW stars like Tommy Dreamer, Chris Candido, Mikey Whipwreck, and Balls Mahoney. Last year, ICW New York added Danny Demanto, formerly of Game Changer Wrestling (GCW), to management for a fitting return home – Demanto, an indie wrestler himself, also competed for ICW in its early days. In 2018, they shortened their name to ICW New York and in January of this year, they rebranded as ICW No Holds Barred when they launched the inaugural No Holds Barred, Volume 1 event that featured some stand out matches, including Tessa Blanchard vs. Nick Gage, Low Ki vs. Masashi Takeda, and Killer Kross vs. Tony Deppen (which you can watch on IWTV).
The Drive-In concept was debuted two weeks ago in California when FIST Combat presented their first-ever Drive-In show.
