On Sunday, February 16th, all eyes turned to the Glasgow Pro Wrestling Asylum (GPWA) as they hosted their first Five Pound Wrestling show of 2020. One of the notable attractions for this show was a guest match from the GPWA’s sister academy, the Fife Pro Wrestling Asylum (FPWA), as ‘The Asian Sensation’ Umar Mohammed battled ‘The Winged Emperor’ Tallon Jr.

While these two have technically wrestled on proper shows before, this marked the first time two current students of the FPWA had wrestled since beginning their training under Andy Wild. Umar had made quite a few appearances for his old home promotion, the World Wide Wrestling League (W3L), where he failed to become the inaugural Breakout Champion this past September at Wrestlution XIII, while Tallon was eliminated from the Junior Heavyweight Championship Tournament for Fair City Wrestling (FCW) in December. There, he was competing under the alias of ‘The Young Bullet’ Ollie Silverstone – this was his first time wrestling under the mask
The FPWA opened this past October, headed up by Andy Wild with the recently-retired Johnny Lions acting as the assistant coach. Despite only being just under four months into operation, the school has already seen seminars from NXT UK stars such as Kenny Williams, Noam Dar, and Wolfgang. In addition, some of the students have also had the chance to help out at shows for Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW), Discovery Wrestling (DW), and WrestleZone (WZ), which provides them with an insight into how a show is run from start to finish.
