Mark Hitchcock Memorial Super Show Adds Match, Amazing Red

For the annual WrestleCon Mark Hitchcock Memorial Super Show, we’ve had one name added, as well as one match announced. The legendary high-flyer and 22-year veteran Amazing Red will be joining the lineup. This will be his first appearance for one of the signature events during WrestleMania week. Following contemplation of retirement, Red has gone through a bit of a career renaissance. He wrestled a series of dream matches in 2019 with Will Ospreay, PAC, and others. Now he will perform at the Mark Hitchcock Memorial Super Show, as well as the ROH SuperCard of Honor, IMPACT TNA Throwback show and ICW New York’s No Holds Barred II

Amazing Red joins the already announced lineup that includes Japanese star Shingo and breakout luchador Bandido. WrestleCon announced that the first match for the show would be Shingo taking on Bandido in a first-ever singles encounter. They have crossed paths before in tag team matches and one triple-threat match in PWG

Bandido picked up an insane amount of momentum at the end of 2019. He won not only the Battle of Los Angeles but the PWG World Championship as well. As part of a trio with Flamita and Rey Horus, they picked up the Ring of Honor Six-Man Tag Team Championships. Shingo has found championship success as well. At night two of Wrestle Kingdom 14, he, EVIL, and BUSHI picked up the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Championships. However, on this night, there will be no partners to rely on. It’ll just be the two of them ready to show the world what they can do.
