Pro Wrestling Chaos Purchased By The 198

Pro Wrestling Chaos

On Saturday evening, Pro Wrestling Chaos (PWC) held an event titled The Nakaomi Kings Oak Plaza Festive Incident in their home of Bristol, a show that was scheduled to be one of their last before closing their doors in early 2020. However, the chaos will indeed live on as the company has now been purchased by Welsh tag team The 198 (Wild Boar and Flash Morgan Webster).

Pro Wrestling Chaos burst on to the British independent scene in June 2013 after being founded by three best friends – Dave Youell, Rob Clark, and Nick Woolcock. Since then, they’ve become one of the most underrated promotions in the United Kingdom, producing quality shows month in and month out with a star-studded roster to back them up. Mixing together the UK’s best with several international imports ensured the PWC fanbase got their money’s worth at every single show, so it was a real shame to see the promotion set to close their doors in February of next year.

Webster made his debut at the promotion’s second event in October 2013 in a losing effort to Jeckel, before going on to win the 2016 Heir 2 The Throne Ladder Match and then the company’s King of Chaos Championship, which he actually won from Wild Boar. Speaking of which, Wild Boar didn’t debut until the show after as he made it to the semifinals of the inaugural King of Chaos Championship Tournament before being ousted by Mike Bird, although he did go on to become a two-time champ in his own right.

With both men being stalwarts of the Pro Wrestling Chaos roster, it makes it that extra bit special that The 198 will be taking over the managerial roles of a company they helped put on the map.
