Preview: Stoner U & BBW – The Rizz Cup (11/15/2019)

Rick Scott & Scott Rick Stoner aka The Stoner Brothers are staples of the Northern California wrestling scene and one of the best Tag Teams you will have the pleasure of watching. The owners and operators of Stoner U, these twin brothers are helping produce some of the top talents to come out of Northern California, including: Shotzi Blackheart, Manny Faberino (Mansoor) and Steven Tresario. These men are bringing together eight dynamic duos to celebrate the legacy of their fallen brother, Jason “DJ Rizz” Smith. Eight teams, over the course of 3 rounds, will collide to determine the winner of The Rizz Cup. Live on Twitch

Rick added “DJ Rizz was one of a kind, in the ring and out of the ring. A loving Dad and a best friend to us. We all three started together in this business and grew together as friends brothers and workhorses. Rizz will never be forgotten because we won’t let it happen.”

The Lost Treasures (Matt Carlos & Joe DeSoul) vs The Stoner Brothers (Rick Scott & Scott Rick)

Four men with a lot of history and a lot of experience in the Northern California scene. The Treasures are former East Bay Pro Wrestling Tag Team Champions and work very well as a team, usually utilizing underhanded tactics, but they are walking into the lion’s den, of sorts, against The Stoner Brothers. These two terrorizing twins have held multiple titles, multiple times, in multiple companies, since 2008 and are only getting better, utilizing insane creativity with power and quickness to bring some of the most entertaining matches you’ll see.

Markus Ericks & Johnny Drinko vs El Chupacabra & Funnybone

This one could get a little wild. Ericks & Drinko are going to provide a solid, if not equally aggressive style to Chupy & Bone, but the two face-painted terrors bring a blend of mental and physical violence that is hard to stop. Chupy is the current Golden Gig Champion of Hoodslam and these two have held the Intergalactic Tag Team Championships twice.

The Caution (Dark Sheik & Anton Vorhees) vs Da Squad (Kenny K & Hip Hop Harry)

This is a match-up drenched in Hoodslam significance, as current Intergalactic Tag Team Champions Da Squad takes on the hottest commodity in the Hoodslam universe, Caution (caution caution). This should be the match of the first round, all four are dynamite in the ring and so familiar, that it should really shine. Outside of The Stoners, these two teams would be front runners to win this thing.

Big In The 20s (James C & “Brutal” Rob Hands) vs The LeftOvers (Eric Watts & Andy Brown)

This will be big guy stuff personified. Hands & James are on a mission to prove they are the rulers of the world, adding vicious precision with unshakable confidence. Watts & Brown are coming up from SoCal, looking to represent their side of Cali and stand alone as Rizz Cup champion. Expect some heavy-handed offense in this one.

NON-TOURNAMENT

The Battle of The Librarians: Peter Avalon vs Richard Shhhnary

Photo: StonerU

Shhhnary and the Hoodslam nation feels ripped off by the AEW decision to go with Avalon as “The Librarian” and is hell-bent to quiet the doubters. Avalon has had an incredible 2019, going to AEW, putting on fantastic matches all over California and Shhhnary has been a wicked force inside the Oakland Metro.

“The Monster” Terex vs Coach Joey Nuggs

Battle of the monsters. Coach has brought so much to the world of Hoodslam and Stoner U and looks to stave off the attacking Terex. Terex has crushed opponents all over California and is looking to take Coach straight to hell.

The Rizz Cup will play out with two Semifinal matches and one Final to crown the Champion. Tickets are still available and will be at the door, WE WILL BE THERE, and this will stream live on Twitch!
