Wrestling has long loved its mentor vs student storyline and on Friday afternoon, it came true once again as “All Ego” Ethan Page faced off against his protege, Canadian indie star Kobe Durst for the Black Label Pro Heavyweight Championship at BLP Adventures on Wrestling. Ethan Page, who runs Alpha-1 Wrestling in Hamilton, Ontario, has groomed Durst for years prior to both entering the US indie scene, where Durst is the reigning 3x A1 Alpha Male Champion. Durst has also seen his stock rise in the US, with the likes of BLP, Freelance Wrestling, and Beyond Wrestling, amongst others. On Friday afternoon, the student surpassed the master, as Durst defeated Page for the BLP Heavyweight Championship.
