Two HUGE Names Added To Starrcast II

On Monday night, the Starrcast Twitter account made the announcement that MMA legend and current UFC Featherweight fight Cristiane Justino Venancio, better known as Cris Cyborg, will be a guest at this year’s Starrcast II. If that wasn’t enough, in a little over a half hour ago, AEW Executive Vice President, Cody Rhodes made the blockbuster announcement that The Olympic Gold Medalist, Kurt Angle would be coming to Starrcast II as well.

For the wrestling fan, very little needs to be said about Kurt Angle. A WWE Hall Of Famer, a multi-time champion between the WWE and TNA/IMPACT Wrestling. There may never be someone like Kurt Angle ever to grace the squared circle. Kurt is set to compete in his very last match this Sunday at Wrestlemania 35, live from East Rutherford, NJ at Metlife Stadium, where he is scheduled to face Baron Corbin.

While fans are more than likely to know who Kurt Angle is and what his accolades are, many may not know of the career of Cris Cyborg. Cris is considered by many as the most dominant female MMA Fighter in history. She began her professional MMA career at Elite XC where she defeated Shayna Baszler by Technical Knock Out in the second round of their fight. After a couple of more wins, she then signed with Strikeforce where she would win four more fights against names such as Gina Carano and Jan Finey. After her Strikeforce run, Cyborg would then fight for Invicta Fighting Championships where she would win five more fights in a row and simply continue to dominate the world of MMA.

In 2016, Cris Cyborg would sign with the UFC where she again would dominate and win five fights in a row. There was a point in time where a dream fight was thought of and close to being signed between Cris Cyborg and Ronda Rousey, who was also paving the way for women in MMA, however, the fight was never made due to issues stemming from who’s weight class would the fight be made for. Cris Cyborg has dominated the world of MMA as she has a career record of 20-2 with 17 of those victories earned by a TKO/KO.
