AEW Women Invade RISE Legendary, RISE Title Changes Hands Twice

AEW Guide

In the main event of RISE Legendary on Friday night, Kylie Rae – who signed with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) earlier this year – finally defeated Mercedes Martinez to become the new Phoenix of RISE Champion.

As Kylie Rae was celebrating, her friend, indie wrestler Miranda Alize, came out to help her celebrate but ended up attacking Kylie Rae, leaving her out in the middle of the ring. It was at that point that the UK’s Zoe Lucas, who had earlier in the night won the #1 Contendership for the title for a shot at any time, came out and declared her intentions to fight now, and immediately pinned a battered Kylie Rae to become the new Phoenix of RISE Champion. As Lucas was celebrating with her new stable, The New Nation, featuring Australia’s Charli Evans, Jessica Troy and Steph De Lander (FaceBrooke), Lucas declared she had “beat the ELITE!”

These words brought out AEW’s Brandi Rhodes, Britt Baker and Nyla Rose, who came out to protect Kylie Rae from further beatdown and evened the odds against the New Nation. They were soon joined by both Allie and Penelope Ford as well. fter they’d cleared the ring, Nyla Rose turned and began to attack Kylie Rae, who she’s scheduled to face at AEW Double or Nothing on May 25, until Baker and Rhodes pulled the two apart.
