Earlier on Wednesday, former IMPACT World Champion Austin Aries replied to a tweet from current IMPACT star Sami Callihan, who was gloating about his past success in 2018 with IMPACT and looking out to his 2019.
Austin Aries Calls Out IMPACT’s Sami Callihan
2018 was the most successful year of #TheDRAW’s career.

Aries reposted Callihan’s tweet from Monday and added his own commentary on Callihan’s 2018 year.
And #behindthecurtain you only had to:
Break a guys face due to AMATEUR execution. #MomentOfTheYear
Ignore and STEAL 10+mins of my PPV main event match time for yourself. #MatchOfTheYear
Get NOBODY over but you, at your colleagues expense.#WrestlerOfTheYear
So, about #BFG… https://t.co/YsmlBkBP2N

Of course, Aries is referring to the errant bat that broke Eddie Edwards‘ skull in Sami’s hands, and makes allegations that Callihan ran over time with one of his matches causing it to affect Aries’ own PPV matches and implying none of Callihan’s angles actually got anyone over except himself, although there are strong arguments to be made that Callihan helped rejuvenate Eddie Edwards career and push Pentagon Jr. into a new audience beyond the Lucha Underground crowd. Sami Callihan has since responded with his own commentary of Aries, even referring to Aries by his real name (Dan Solwold Jr.)
Kiss my ass Dan, and cry me a river.
Take your ball and run home when you don’t get your way. Just like you’ve done in EVERY company you’ve worked for. https://t.co/Sw9aLx8Ost

IMPACT Wrestling announced on Twitter that a former IMPACT World Champion would be returning for their IMPACT United We Stand Twitch special on WrestleMania weekend. Could Aries make a shocking return to the company he seemingly walked out of at Bound For Glory last year?
