Dr. Octopus: Jonathan Gresham Opens Instructional YouTube Channel

For indie wrestling fans, Jonathan Gresham has been a marvel to watch in the ring for much of his 13 years in the business. Starting out in Southern indie promotions in 2006, the Atlanta native worked his way through more and more promotions, such as Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), CHIKARA, and Germany’s Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw), where his dedication to “pure wrestling” and technical savvy earned him a legion of fans. But it’s just been in the past year or so that Gresham’s talents have been to gain more national exposure, with the increased push he’s received with Ring of Honor, with an epic feud with Jay Lethal for much of 2018, ending with a clinic of a match against Zack Sabre Jr. at ROH Final Battle. And now Jonathan Gresham, nicknamed “The Octopus” due to his submission and technical prowess, is taking his clinical approach to YouTube.

Just over a week ago, Gresham opened his own YouTube Channel, where he’s been posting instructional videos on some of the lost art forms of technical wrestling, showing moves and techniques, often with the help of special guests depending where he’s filming from.

Gresham continues to update nearly daily, so if you’re an aspiring pro wrestler, make sure you subscribe and pick up some pointers from one of the indie’s most underrated grapplers.
