Former Valet Bella Donna Passes Away at 40

More sad news from the wrestling community, as indie wrestling valet Rocksan Biggerstaff has passed away at the age of 40. She was found unresponsive in her home on Tuesday and rushed to hospital, but sadly passed away. No cause of death has been reported.

For most wrestling fans, Rocksan is better remembered as Bella Donna, one of the first women to work for TNA/IMPACT Wrestling. Long before there was even a Knockouts division, Bella Donna worked as the valet for Father James Mitchell‘s Disciples of the New Church, that included Brian Lee, Slash (Wolfie D), and Malice (formerly The Wall in WCW).

While her stint with TNA was short lived, she returned to the indies as Rocksan, where she accompanied indie wrestler Slacker-J (as well as Slacker-J’s tag team The Goonees, with Dynamite Dan) in the now defunct Nashville promotion, United States Wrestling Organization (USWO).

The news was first broken by Wolfie D on his Facebook page, followed shortly by James Mitchell as well. Our condolences to the Biggerstaff family and all of Rocksan’s friends and peers.
