Ultimate Bar Brawl Features Ken Shamrock vs. “Filthy” Tom Lawlor

Former WWE Intercontinental Champion and UFC Legend Ken Shamrock recently made his return to pro wrestling and he’s returning to the US on January 31 for a McAloon Productions wrestling event in Georgia called Ultimate Bar Brawl. All the matches are contested in a “no ring, no rules” format, although the fights will be in the professional wrestling realm, not MMA. His opponent for the match is one of the MMA’s next stars in the wrestling world in former UFC fighter “Filthy” Tom Lawlor. Lawlor has become one of the faces for Major League Wrestling (MLW) on their weekly MLW Fusion shows and continues to be one of the emerging new stars on the US indie scene, poised to take a spot opened up by the multiple top departures, like fellow UFC-turned-wrestler Matt Riddle to NXT.

The only other match announced features two pretty tough women in former 4x IMPACT Knockouts Champion ODB, who will be facing off against “The Bad Girl” Penelope Ford. ODB is a tough customer and she’s worked everywhere from IMPACT to Ring of Honor, and all the indies in-between in her 17-year career. And Penelope Ford is one of the top emerging indie stars of the moment, working Beyond Wrestling, Shine Wrestling, Bar Wrestling, Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) and more, as well as recently taking part in a WWE tryout.
