Amid reports that WWE and Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan may be working on some sort of alliance, Pro Wrestling NOAH officially announced 3x GHC Heavyweight Champion Naomichi Marufuji will be facing WWE Superstar Hideo Itami (formerly KENTA in NOAH). Although reports had suggested it was for an August 29 show (which never seemed to have been listed), it appears it will be on September 1 at Marufuji’s 20th Anniversary Show as we had suggested. Interestingly, NOAH announced him as Hideo Itami and not KENTA.
