Beyond Wrestling announced this afternoon that recently released NXT Superstar Abbey Laith is returning to the indies at a Beyond double header co-promotion with one of Laith’s indie homes, CHIKARA, as “Kimber Lee‘s homecoming”. The event is being held at CHIKARA’s WrestleFactory on April 28. Beyond confirmed in the post that she’ll be wrestling at the show, so it appears NXT talent aren’t subject to the same 90-day no compete clause as their main roster counterparts.

As Kimber Lee, she had her greatest success, where she was a part of the tag team The Kimber Bombs alongside current Impact Knockouts Champion Allie (then known as Cherry Bomb), where they held the SHIMMER and SHINE Tag Team titles. But she shone as a singles performer, working in CZW, AAW, Beyond, Smash Wrestling, and even the UK with PROGRESS and ICW. But it was in CHIKARA that Princess Kimber Lee reached her greatest heights, becoming the first woman to win a promotion’s top male title in a major indie promotion, when she captured the CHIKARA Grand Championship in 2015.
