AEW Collision Preview (11/27/25) – The Continental Classic, Week One Concludes

Saturday night’s AEW Collision will host the second half of the first round of the 2025 Continental Classic. Plus, all the overspill from AEW Dynamite and AEW Full Gear fallout. At the time of writing, no names or brackets have been revealed, but as details are drip-fed to us, check back for more information.

Let’s speculate on the opening round and what other post-Full Gear surprises we might get.

Continental Classic

Current Continental Champion, Kazuchika Okada, started his reign after defeating triple champion, Eddie Kingston. It was also where this long-term, multi-year story formed. The Rainmaker’s heel characterisation as an ageing star clinging to shortcuts to glory began. Last year, Okada went all the way, despite initial setbacks and doubt.

Wednesday night will see the initial rounds play out. The potential stories, the possible fracturing of both the Don Callis Family and Death Riders begin. The latter could continue on Saturday.

Through the process of elimination, the only remaining Gold League match is PAC vs. Speedball Mike Bailey. Like Kevin Knight vs. Darby Allin, on paper, this is a banger-oriented match that could emphasise awesome hybrid action over story. However, since his return, PAC has been monstrous and ruthless. PAC defeated Allin clean, but Moxley could not. This match could help build the chase for a new Bastard era of The Death Riders.

In the Blue League, whatever two matches are made with the four remaining competitors, fans are going to be spoiled. Konosuke Takeshita is a phenomenon. Roderick Strong is the Messiah of the Banger. Orange Cassidy is going to be the banana peel someone is bound to slip on. Claudio Castagnoli will want to go all the way in his third Continental Classic. Whatever combination of these four men, it’s going to be incredible!
