One of the absolute highlights of last year’s WrestleMania week was the Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) presentation of Joey Janela’s Spring Break, that featured a great mix of matches from the brutality of GCW Champion Matt Tremont vs. Eddie Kingston to Lio Rush vs. Keith Lee, intergender wrestling with Every Time I Die‘s Andy Williams & Penelope Ford vs. Braxton Sutter & Allie, and main evented by Matt Riddle against MMA legend Dan “The Beast” Severn (not to mention Janela himself facing Marty Jannetty and the battle royal that featured the return of WCW’s Glacier). This year’s WrestleMania week is going to be another week of great action and once again, GCW presents Joey Janela’s Spring Break 2. Before tonight, the only two matches announced were Joey Janela facing Michinoku Pro, NJPW and ECW Legend The Great Sasuke and CHIKARA owner/indie pioneer Mike Quackenbush taking on indie superstar David Starr, both solid matchups in their own right.
Tonight Joey Janela revealed the third match for Spring Break 2, and with the help of Wrestling Arcade, unveiled perhaps the coolest match announcement vignette of all time. Check it out below:

So the third match announced will feature one of the heaviest hitting men on the planet, the bruiser WALTER from wXw‘s RINGKAMPF, who has been tearing up not only his native Germany (where’s he’s currently the wXw World Tag Team Champion with RINGKAMPF partner Timothy Thatcher) but the UK scene as well (he’s currently the PROGRESS Atlas Champion). And when he’s not jetsetting between the mainland and the British Isles, he’s slopperknocking in the United States with EVOLVE and PWG with the likes of Keith Lee, Matt Riddle, Jeff Cobb and Zack Sabre Jr.
His opponent is another throwback wrestler (like last year’s additions of Severn, Jannetty and Glacier) and one we haven’t seen in some time. French-Canadian tough guy Pierre Carl Ouellet, a 3x WWF World Tag Team Champion alongside Jacques Rougeau in The Quebecers in the early 1990s and WCW Hardcore Champion. During his 31-year career, he also wrestled for ECW, Puerto Rico’s WWC, Impact Wrestling, Montreal’s International Wrestling Syndicate (IWS) and Germany’s wXw.
In fact, this won’t even be the first time that WALTER and Ouellet have faced each other. Back in 2008, Ouellet teamed with former A4 member Absolute Andy in a match against a younger WALTER (then Big Van Walter) and Marc Slater at wXw 16 Carat Gold ’08, followed up with a singles one on one match at wXw Full Force VII that May (Ouellet’s tag team won, but WALTER won the singles encounter). So effectively, this is the duo’s rubber match.
