WWE Clash In Paris could be the stage for the next The Rock WWE appearance

The Rock In Europe Ahead of WWE Clash In Paris

The Rock has revealed that he is in Europe ahead of WWE Clash In Paris tomorrow (August 31, 2025).
Posting on his Instagram account, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is seen enjoying a gondola ride in Venice, Italy. Venice is just an hour and a half away from Paris, where WWE will host its latest premium live event tomorrow night.
The Rock said the Italian city had given him ‘chills’. The WWE superstar is visiting Venice for the first time, where he said he was having a hard time staying composed in the ‘beautiful’ coastal destination.
But will “The Final Boss” venture onwards to Paris for a shock appearance at WWE Clash In Paris?

WWE Clash In Paris

WWE gave French fans their first shock on WWE SmackDown when Sami Zayn won the US Championship.
But could they be in store for something even bigger. With The Rock in Europe, the stars could align to build to one dream match.
John Cena will be in action against Logan Paul. The Rock could feel that Cena owes him an explanation after he reverted to his good guy character. The Rock had influenced Cena to turn heel at Elimination Chamber in one of the most shocking moments in WWE history.
But Cena left the dark side behind, leading to him dropping the Undisputed WWE Championship back to Cody Rhodes at WWE SummerSlam.

John Cena Retirement Tour

Cena has just six announced dates left on his Retirement Tour after WWE Clash In Paris. Although, two extra are thought to be added. WWE Wrestlepalooza on September 20 will see him face Brock Lesnar. He will appear on WWE SmackDown on September 5 and WWE Raw on September 15. These dates will hype up the Lesnar bout.
That leaves matches at WWE Crown Jewel in Perth on October 11 and WWE Survivor Series on November 29. It is likely he will have different opponents for both of these matches.
Finally, John Cena will call time on his career with his retirement match on December 13, 2025.

The Rock and Cena had a dream feud in 2012. Their unlikely partnership at Elimination Chamber has seemingly come to nothing. But The Rock could feel angry with Cena after he abandoned their plan for him to ruin wrestling.
The storyline has already begun. Only time will tell if it will be told with a final showdown between The Rock and Cena. If that match is in WWE’s plans, a shock reignition of the rivalry in Paris would be the perfect place to move things forward.
