NJPW and STARDOM Confirm First-Ever Crossover Event in China

NJPW and STARDOM will unite under one roof for the very first time in China later this year. The collaboration will take place on October 5th in Guangzhou, China’s fifth most populous city, at Damai 66 Livehouse.

The partnership between NJPW, Japan’s most popular wrestling promotion, and the highly-acclaimed STARDOM brand, reflects the latter’s growing popularity. As well as bringing a new spotlight to women’s wrestling in Japan, the promotion have introduced fans to global stars, such as Iyo Sky, Toni Storm, and Giulia.

STARDOM has been a subsidiary of NJPW since June 2024, but the brands have worked together extensively in the past. NJPW and STARDOM have held their joint event, Historic X-Over, in 2022 and 2024, respectively. The latest edition of the PLE will be taken overseas to China for the very first time this coming October.

The PLE will be in conjunction with INFIN Wrestling, one of China’s most prominent promotions. And a number of popular stars from both NJPW and STARDOM have already been confirmed for the event. Among them are Ninja Mack, Master Wato, Starlight Kid, Miyu Amasaki, Saori Anou, and Rina.

The biggest match confirmed so far is the mammoth encounter between IWGP Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr. and NJPW legend KUSHIDA in a non-title match. This will be the pair’s fourth encounter, having locked up three times previously – all in the UK. Mack and Wato will also renew their budding rivalry, having fought one another earlier this year.

The event will also feature the best and brightest from INFIN, but confirmed names from their promotion have yet to be confirmed.
