The announcement of Tessa at the September 1 event will likely put an end to rumours that she’d be joining her real life boyfriend, Ricochet, who was announced as finally signing and reporting to the WWE today. Blanchard, a third generation grappler and the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer and Four Horseman Tully Blanchard and the granddaughter of Golden Era wrestler Joe Blanchard, has been used in NXT in limited engagements, as well as took part in last year’s Mae Young Classic.
She’s one of the indie circuits top stars, working with SHIMMER, Stardom, Queens of Combat (QOC), Defiant (WCPW), Beyond, House of Glory and many more the past year, including a main event role with WrestleCircus, where she’s the WrestleCircus Lady of the Ring Champion as well as the WrestleCircus Sideshow Champion (their secondary title like the Intercontinental Championship).
