The WorkHorsemen Announces for AEW Dynamite

This past weekend at AEW Revolution, William Regal made his surprising debut to bring Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson together to form an unholy union of violent men.  On AEW Dynamite they will team up for the first time, and they have some stiff opposition in indie veterans The WorkHorsemen (AnthonyHenry & JD Drake).

The WorkHorsemen (Anthony Henry & JD Drake) Debuting in AEW

JD Drake is not a new face to AEW fans, he has been a regular performer for the company as part of the Wingmen for some time now.  Some AEW fans may also be familiar with Anthony Henry who has appeared on Dark in the recent past.

What fans may not know is that for years Drake and Henry tore up the U.S. independent scene as a tag team known as The WorkHorsemen. Their main stomping ground was former major indie EVOLVE Wrestling where they were former tag team champions. As well as EVOLVE the two competed in Europe for PROGRESS Wrestling and Germany’s wXw (Westside Xtreme Wrestling) as well as a host of American companies.

Initially, the team’s run came to an end when Anthony Henry stated his intent to retire from pro wrestling before actually joining WWE where he competed as Asher Hale. Like many, Henry was released from the WWE in 2021 and he quickly set about reforming his team with JD Drake with the two notably doing battle with the Kings of the Black Throne (Malakai Black & Brody King) in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, and challenging The Briscoes for the ROH tag titles at Warrior Wrestling. Now however their return sees them head to Dynamite to take on two of the most violent men AEW has ever known.
