This week on NXT, the wrestlers are preparing for Halloween Havoc this Saturday. A contract signing will take place between the NXT Champion, Ricky Saints, and Trick Williams for their NXT Championship match on Saturday.
Here’s what else you can expect from this week’s episode of WWE’s NXT.
Men’s Speed Tournament Begins
On last week’s episode of NXT, the General Manager, Ava, announced that the men will also have a speed tournament to determine who will challenge the current men’s speed champion, El Grande Americano.
The tournament matches begin this week with Sean Legacy vs. Axiom and Jasper Troy vs. Zachary Wentz. Each competitor is from a different brand within the company. Sean Legacy is on Evolve while Axiom is on SmackDown. Jasper Troy is from NXT, while Zachary Wentz is from TNA.
Despite being on different brands, they all have their eyes set on the same prize. Whoever wins these two matches will move on to the semi-finals. Who do you want to see challenge El Grande Americano for the Speed Championship?
Halloween Havoc Contract Signing
As I had mentioned, we will see the contract signing between Ricky Saints and Trick Williams for the NXT Championship match at Halloween Havoc. We may also get a preview of what we will see Saturday, as contract signings typically end anyway, but peacefully.
The two have been going back and forth for weeks. Trick Williams feels as if he is the top guy at NXT and the rightful champion. Tensions escalated between the two when Trick Williams turned on Team NXT during their match at NXT ShowDown. Williams turning on Team NXT would help Team TNA pick up the victory.
This is also the first title defense of Ricky Saints. Will he be able to step up to the plate and show what kind of champion he will be? Do you think Saints will retain or that Williams will capture gold once again?
