Kris Statlander made her AEW return at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view. This is the first time we have seen Kris in an All Elite Wrestling (AEW) ring since November of 2022 when she suffered a knee injury on an episode of AEW Dark.
Kris Statlander Makes AEW Return at Double or Nothing
She made her return following the TBS Championship match that saw Jade Cargill retain the title over Taya Valkyrie. After the match, Mark Sterling took to the microphone to claim that there is no one left for Jade to challenge. He said she will take on anyone anywhere at any time. That was when Kris made her return and an impromptu match was made. Statlander defeated Cargil to win the title and end Cargill’s undefeated streak at 60 wins.
Prior to her injury, Statlander had been part of the Best Friends group on AEW. The group also crossed over to New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) as part of the CHAOS stable. Statlander has had multiple chances at AEW gold but has never been able to bring home the gold. We will see if this return will bring Kris Statlander a title run in AEW.
