For the first time in over 6 years, Game Changer Wrestling returns to Orlando, Florida. For context, the last time that the promotion was in Orlando was back in March of 2017 for the original Joey Janela’s Spring Break. GCW Scene of the Crime will take place at Engelwood Center and to say that there is plenty of action set would be an understatement. There will be no fewer than two major title matches, not to mention company favorites including Joey Janela, BUSSY, and Nick Gage in action. Whether you plan on attending the show in person or watching live via FITE+ this Saturday, here’s what to expect come bell time.

Rich Swann Returns to GCW at Scene of the Crime
This past September, Game Changer Wrestling joined forces with Black Label Pro for 4 Cups Stuffed. At this event, Rich Swann unsuccessfully challenged Calvin Tankman for the BLP Heavyweight Championship. Now, over six months later, Swann makes his Game Changer Wrestling return at Scene of the Crime. The “Outlandish” high-flyer from Baltimore is nothing short of accomplished, his resume featuring the WWE Cruiserweight Championship, IMPACT Digital Media Championship, and IMPACT World Championship, just to name a few examples. This Saturday, he clashes with fellow high-flyer Jack Cartwheel, who’s not only been making waves in GCW but appeared for All Elite Wrestling across the company’s various programming. Thus, it’s fair to say that Cartwheel is going to head into this match with Swann with confidence intact. However, it will take more than confidence to secure a victory.

Joey Janela Defends the GCW Extreme Championship Against Komander
It can’t be stated enough just how much of an impact Komander has made in wrestling. This past March, he made his in-ring debut for All Elite Wrestling, competing in the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match on AEW Dynamite. Despite coming up short in said match, Komander made an impression with his aerial offense. The following April, he competed against Sammy Guevara and while Komander came up on the losing end, he received a positive reception from the Long Island crowd. Couple these appearances with his regular work in GCW and it’s fair to say that this luchador is on the rise in North America. Will championship gold be in his future? This question will be answered at GCW Scene of the Crime, where he’ll challenge Joey Janela for the GCW Extreme Championship. While Komander has limited experience as a champion, Janela’s held multiple titles throughout his career; the intrinsic underdog story at play makes this match all the more must-see.

Sawyer Wreck Challenges for the GCW World Title
Another name that’s been on the rise in GCW has been Sawyer Wreck. Victories over Bobby Orlando at Jimmy Lloyd’s D-Generation F and Kidd Bandit at EFFY’s Big Gay Brunch are evidence of this and it’s easy to see why Wreck has been on such a roll. “The Matriarch of Mayhem” is one of the deathmatch scene’s premiere talents, boasting a lack of fear and an imposing look alike. GCW fans have kept an eye on her work since she first arrived in the company, wondering when she would set her sights on the top prize. At GCW Scene of the Crime, Wreck challenges Masha Slamovich for the GCW World Championship. Given the wrestling styles of both competitors, it would be fair to expect nothing short of a brutal affair. This makes the upcoming title match difficult to predict and, ergo, one that’s worthy of closing out the show at Engelwood Center.
