Mike Bailey vs 2 Cold Scorpio at GCW Til Infinity 2022

Bailey Faces Scorpio in First-Time Singles Match

In one of the marquee matches to keep an eye on heading into GCW Til Infinity 2022, “Speedball” Mike Bailey tests his mettle against the legendary 2 Cold Scorpio. Though this marks the first time they’ll be facing one on one, they shared the ring one time in the past. Back in 2016, they competed in a number one contender world title match for C*4 (Capital City Championship Combat); this bout also featured Joey Janela. In this match, it was Janela that emerged victorious and Bailey and Scorpio hadn’t faced off since. This will change come New Year’s Eve as two wrestlers known for their speed and agility test their mettle to determine who the best is.

Scorpio’s career spanning well over 3 decades speaks for itself. In addition to being a former tag team titleholder in World Championship Wrestling and Extreme Championship Wrestling, he is a 4x ECW World Television Champion, being the only wrestler in history to hold the latter distinction. Furthermore, his wrestling style characterized by a blend of high-flying offense and sheer charisma inspired many. Meanwhile, Bailey is among the busiest wrestlers on the scene today, being a former X-Division Champion for his home promotion, IMPACT Wrestling. Outside of IMPACT, he continues to appear for REVOLVER, Black Label Pro, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, GCW, and elsewhere. Though Scorpio’s extensive experience gives him the edge on paper, don’t count out “Speedball” in this generational match for the ages.

Los Macizos vs Masha Slamovich and AKIRA

The GCW Tag Team Championship is Defended

In title action will be Los Macizos, the duo of Ciclope and Miedo Extremo, as they put the GCW Tag Team Championship on the line. To say that this team has been successful under the Game Changer Wrestling umbrella would be an understatement. Since capturing the gold for the third time, as a tandem, they’ve been able to hold onto said gold by overcoming such teams as The Wolf Zaddies, The Mane Event, and The RockNES Monsters. It’s unknown when, or if, their momentum will stop, but it’s difficult to deny that there are few teams as formidable as Los Macizos. However, two wrestlers with a penchant for dealing punishment aim to halt such momentum in its tracks as Masha Slamovich and AKIRA step up to the plate.

Slamovich and AKIRA are no strangers to each other, both in singles and tag team competition. Across multiple independent organizations, they’ve clashed in bouts that are on brand for their grueling wrestling styles. This isn’t to say that they can’t play nice, however, as their involvement in various tag team title competitions has illustrated. Simply put, they know when it’s time to get on the same page, which is what may help them go all the way against Los Macizos this Saturday. On New Year’s Eve, a miracle may occur as Slamovich and AKIRA become the GCW Tag Team Champions for the first time. Witness this tag team bout unfold as we ring in 2023.

GCW Til Infinity 2022 will take place in Atlantic City, New Jersey on December 31, 2022.
