Preview: AEW Rampage Feat The Pinnacle (10/14/22) – Full Card, How to Watch

AEW Rampage Featuring The Pinnacle

All Elite Wrestling has its second of a series of AEW Rampage episodes that are either live or taped on a separate date from Dynamite. This week is night two of their stay at the Coca Cola Coliseum. Previously known as the Ricoh Coliseum, it was primarily a house show only venue for both WWE and IMPACT Wrestling. However in 2016, it housed WWE Roadblock,a  last minute Pay-Per-View that was created as a second event bridging the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. It saw Dean Ambrose, now AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, take on Triple H for the WWE Championship. See what’s on tap for this week’s AEW Rampage, featuring The Pinnacle and much more.

AEW Rampage (10/14/22) – What to Expect

The Pinnacle Reunion

Not officially identified as such, but as of Dynamite, 4 of the 5 members of The Pinnacle have aligned and will be in action on AEW Rampage. We’ve already seen FTR and Wardlow work together several times in the last few weeks. But now, Shawn Spears has made his return and has sided with them, as well as Samoa Joe. Interestingly enough, Spears seemingly re-adopted his NXT born “Perfect 10” gimmick, right down to an AEW rendition of his NXT theme. He faced off against The Embassy as he made his return close to his home town and set him and FTR to face The Embassy’s Brian Cage, Toa Liona, and Bishop Kaun.

The only thing missing here is MJF to finish this Pinnacle reunion as we head into AEW Rampage.

Castagnoli Bounces Back

It was three weeks ago that Chris Jericho defeated Claudio Castagnoli to win the Ring Of Honor World title. Castagnoli makes his return tonight on AEW Rampage, teaming with fellow Blackpool Combat Club member and AEW World Champion Jon Moxley to take on The Butcher and The Blade. It seems like we get a simple showcase here for the World Champion and the returning Swiss Superman after his loss at Dynamite Grand Slam as they face the often reliable Butcher and Blade.

Chasing A Match By Stealing A Title

Nyla Rose has stolen Jade Cargill’s TBS Championship in her quest to get a title match. Oddly enough, the “sports entertainment” tactic of hers sees her facing none other than Anna Jay AS of the Jericho Appreciation Society, someone that has faced Cargill for that TBS Championship twice. Rose will likely have double the tasks in this match, not only trying to win, but also looking over her shoulder since Cargill is obviously not just going to sit out as The Native Beast runs around with her title.

A Firm Bet

On AEW Dynamite, it was revealed that The Firm was able to purchase the contracts of Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen, Private Party, from AFO since the A in AFO, Andrade, is now persona-non-grata due to his actions last week backstage at AEW’s tapings. The duo of Private Party were not pleased, nor was Matt Hardy who had been vouching for them.

But Ethan Page, Canada’s own, felt like doing a wager: Private Party’s freedom vs Matt Hardy’s own contract. As such, we now have a good old fashioned ‘Lucha de Apuestas’ (betting match), on a Friday no less, except it’s Canada instead of Mexico. Isiah Kassidy steps up to face Ethan Page. If Kassidy wins, Private Party are free from The Firm; If Page wins, Hardy will now be forced under The Firm like Private Party. Given All Ego is from close by Hamilton, Ontario, things might not bode well for Private Party and Matt Hardy. Let’s see.
