Report: Jeff Jarrett Departs WWE

Jeff Jarrett

According to a report from PWInsider, “Double J” Jeff Jarrett has departed WWE as of today, Sunday, August 21st, 2022. Jarrett may have finished his duties with WWE as Senior Vice President of Live Events officially on Friday, August 19th, 2022, but the timeline has not been confirmed as of this writing. Jeff Jarrett has been in and out of WWE since 2019. During that timeframe, he served as a Producer and was a part of WWE’s Creative Team. Jarrett would quietly exit the company following his time in those roles.

He would make a guest appearance a year later on the January 21, 2022 edition of SmackDown in a backstage segment involving Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs. In May 2022, Jarrett was rehired by WWE to serve as Senior Vice President of Live Events. Jarrett would return to WWE television briefly and serve as a Special Guest Referee for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship Match at SummerSlam featuring The Usos and The Street Profits.

Jeff Jarrett was inducted into the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame. He is also a former WWE European Champion, WWE Intercontinental Champion (6x), and WWE Tag Team Champion with the late Owen Hart. Jarrett is a current co-host of the My World podcast with Conrad Thompson.
