All Elite Wrestling returns to “H-Town” as the Wild Card Wednesday edition of AEW Dynamite emanates from the Fertitta Center in Houston, Texas. Let’s preview the blazing-hot action for this week’s AEW Dynamite, as the quarterfinals continue and the semifinals begin of the outstanding Owen Hart Foundation Men’s and Women’s Tournaments. “The Wizard” of AEW and leader of the Jericho Appreciation Society confront his lordship of the Blackpool Combat Club after their violent encounter last week.
Plus, “Mr. Mayhem” takes ten lashes courtesy of the maniacal “Salt of the Earth.” Houston, we have quite a wrestling show, and you should not be missing it. No Laughing Matter
Current Ring of Honor World TV Champion Samoa Joe and Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D both have quite an interesting battle ahead of them on this week’s Dynamite. Both competitors will have their Owen Hart Foundation Tournament quarterfinals matchup against unknown opponents. These combatants are only referred to as “Jokers”. Some feel that Joe and Baker will be at a disadvantage. Considering every competitor in the bracket had time and knowledge to scout their respective opponents.
However, Joe and Baker are two of All Elite Wrestling’s top talents. Regardless of who their opponents might be, expect these two to put on a hell of a show come this Wednesday night at AEW Dynamite.
Reigniting a Rivalry
Chris Jericho and William Regal are no strangers to one another. These two had bloody battles and cultivated timeless classics over the past two decades. However, when it seemed like the bad blood between these two boiled down long ago, it looks like another chapter will be written in this epic rivalry.
When the Jericho Appreciation Society thought the cards were in their favor, the Blackpool Combat Club chose to stand side by side with Santana, Ortiz, and Eddie Kingston. A massive brawl would ensue between all sides, resulting in the JAS having to tuck their tail between their legs and fight another day. However, Regal did not let the leader of the Jericho Appreciation Society escape their clutches unscathed. William Regal delivered a devastating blow to Jericho, effectively putting him out of commission.
Fortunately for the “Sports Entertainer,” Jake Hager was there to pull him out of the heat of battle. This leads us to this Wednesday night, leaders of two groups, with a massive shared history; what words will be uttered on AEW Dynamite? Do not miss this massive confrontation live on TBS!
