Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling is steadily approaching the landmark 200th episode of ChocoPro and to say that things are gearing up would be an understatement. Not only does this ring true for the company’s two championships but the caliber of competition that’s been coming in. ChocoPro #193 will be no different, as the Asia Dream Tag Team Champions, Super Asia Interim Champion, and many more will be in action on this show. Here’s what to know before the action takes place live on the official Gatoh Move YouTube channel.
ChocoPro #193 Full Card
Masahiro Takanashi and Yuna Mizumori vs. Chon Shiryu and Tokiko Kirihara
ChocoPro #193 will open with a tag team match featuring championship contenders and the champion who has all eyes set on them. Yuna Mizumori and Masahiro Takanashi, the latter of whom has a Super Asia Interim Championship in his future, battles Tokiko Kirihara and the champion in question, Chon Shiryu. For those that are unaware, on ChocoPro #195, Shiryu will defend his title against Takanashi. Given that this episode also marks the challenger’s birthday, the upcoming title bout couldn’t be any more vital. One may consider this match on Episode #193 a taste of things to come.
This shouldn’t detract from the potential that Yuna Mizumori and Tokiko Kirihara yield, either. After all, “Yunamon” hasn’t been shy about her intentions to win gold, so a win for her and Takanashi could lead Gatoh Move’s “Pineapple Girl” down a prosperous road. Meanwhile, Kirihara has been putting on solid performances, whether she won or lost, her hard-hitting approach positioning her as arguably the most imposing fourth-generation Gatoh Move star on the show. There are several elements at play in this match, which makes it one to keep an eye on.
Best Bros (Mei Suruga and Baliyan Akki) vs. Too Much Gokigen (Kaori Yoneyama and Chie Koishikawa)
In the main event of ChocoPro #193, Best Bros compete in a nontitle match against Kaori Yoneyama and Chie Koishikawa, the latter affectionately dubbed Too Much Gokigen. As the Asia Dream Tag Team Champions, Mei Suruga and Baliyan Akki have been ruling the proverbial tag team roost. On the previous episode, they picked up a victory over Koishikawa and Girl’s Prowrestling Unit! star Yuko Sakurai. It’s easy to see why Suruga and Akki are as confident as they are, especially since they seem to be on their way to becoming the longest-reigning Asia Dream tag team titleholders. It’s a long road to get there, however, and it won’t be without its bumps in the roads.
Aiming to secure her first victory of 2022, Koishikawa finds herself teaming with the veteran known as Yoneyama. From Pro Wrestling WAVE to World Wonder Ring Stardom, it’s safe to say that Yoneyama has had a busy year thus far. Not only has she taken on notable Joshi wrestlers such as Stardom’s Unagi Sayaka and Mayu Iwatani, but Gatoh Move’s core competitors. One can argue that Koishikawa and Yoneyama are heading into this with an advantage. Too Much Gokigen has seen success in the past, as evidenced by the team’s victory on ChocoPro #173 this past November. Can they succeed in this upcoming bout against Best Bros? Tune into Episode #193 to see how this main event encounter unfolds.
ChocoPro #193 will air on January 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM JST (January 14, 2022 at 8:00 PM EST).
