Jay Lethal vs Jonathan Gresham Will Be For Original ROH World Title
The announcement came during Hour One of Final Battle. The match was made official earlier in the week but the status of the ROH World Title was unknown. The match will now be for the original ROH World Title. The belt was held by Ring of Honor legends such as Bryan Danielson, Samoa Joe, Nigel McGuiness, and many others.
The two Foundation stablemates have been at odds ever since Lethal was caught on camera saying negative things about The Foundation. The two have faced off in the past, most recently at ROH TV #500. Gresham got the win that night, retaining his Pure Title in the process. Lethal has been dubbed “The Franchise” of Ring of Honor for his many years of dedication to the promotion.
One will come out of Final Battle as the final ROH World Champion of this iteration of Ring of Honor. This promises to be another technical clinic between the two veterans.
