What to Know About IMPACT Wrestling and AAA Star
Black Taurus enters the PWG BOLA 2022 tournament with over a decade and a half of wrestling experience under his belt. As mentioned earlier, he may be best known for his time in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide; he debuted for the promotion in 2012. During his time in said promotion – arguably the biggest in Mexico – he achieved numerous accolades. In addition to being the current Latin American Champion and one-third of the World Trios Champion, Taurus won the 2015 Copa Antonio Peña and 2019 Gladiators Heavyweight tournaments. Other Mexican promotions Taurus worked for include Lucha Libre Elite and Consejo Mundial De Lucha Libre (CMLL).
In July of 2019, Black Taurus debuted for PWG, competing at the promotion’s SIXTEEN event. It was here where he teamed with Laredo Kid and Puma King in a losing effort against Rey Horus, Flamita, and current Ring of Honor World Champion Bandido. Two months later, Taurus entered that year’s BOLA, competing against current All Elite Wrestling star Darby Allin in the first round. Despite losing to Allin, Taurus had a well-received showing.
In terms of American wrestling, Black Taurus has become a regular competitor on IMPACT Wrestling. He is a member of the promotion’s Decay stable, which also consists of Crazzy Steve, Havok, and Rosemary. In 2021, he was in contention for the IMPACT X-Divison and World Tag Team Championships. Time will only tell if gold awaits Taurus in 2022.
