Preview: SHIMMER Taping (10/31/21)

SHIMMMER - Kimber Lee vs Willow Nightingale Graphic

The measuring stick of women’s wrestling on the American independent scene, SHIMMER Women Athletes is finally returning to the Berwyn Eagle’s Club! There will be two shows filmed, one starting at 12 PM central time on October 31 and the other will start at 4 PM central time. Mercedes Martinez will be making her post-WWE return, and all current SHIMMER champions will also be in action.

Also scheduled to wrestle that day are Hyan, Ashley Vox, Delmi Exo, Marti Belle, Brittany Blake, Alice Crowley, Davienne, Charli Evans, Holidead, Kayla Kassidy, Allysin Kay, Laynie Luck, Ray Lyn, Heather Monroe, Neveah, Tesha Price, Veda Scott, Sierra, Zoey Skye, and Thunderkitty

Nicole Savoy vs. Janai Kai

Former SHIMMER Champion Nicole Savoy will be part of the festivities as they get things rolling again. She will be taking on Janai Kai, Kai was trained by Santana Garrett and has been wrestling for about three years. She hasn’t had a lot of wins under her belt lately, but she is a former REAL Pro Wrestling Women’s Champion. She will certainly have a daunting challenge before her in the form of Savoy.

Jody Threat vs. Mercedes Martinez

A cornerstone of SHIMMER and women’s wrestling as a whole, Mercedes Martinez returns home to the Berwyn Eagles Club. Martinez will take on Canadian sensation Jody Threat. This will also be a first-time encounter but will certainly be one you can’t miss.

SHIMMER Championship Match
Kimber Lee (c) vs. Wilow Nightingale

Current SHIMMER Champion Kimber Lee will defend her title against the Babe with the Power, Willow Nightingale. These two have faced off before, with Willow being on the winning side each time. Kimber Lee is at a size disadvantage in this match, so she will have to rely on her technical skills. Her background as a dancer also gives her a unique set of skills such as flexibility. Will Kimber’s 700+ day reign continue or will the Babe with the Power have a new accessory?

If you are able to get to the Berwyn area, very limited amounts of tickets are still available. If you can’t make it, SHIMMER’s streaming service, StreamShimmer.com will have you covered. For $9.99 a month, you can access SHIMMER’s catalog of previous events and future events will be added. DVDs and Blu-Rays will also be available just like all of SHIMMER’s events.
