Vignettes aired teasing the arrival of The Drama King to IMPACT at Slammiversary and have aired on IMPACT episodes ever since. Purrazzo made her intentions to enter the tournament clear on last week’s episode on IMPACT. She refused to reveal her partner until the tournament itself, making fans wait to see who would team with her.
Matthew Rehwoldt is best known for his time in NXT and WWE under the name Aiden English. He was a member of The Vaudevillains tag team along with Simon Gotch from 2014-2017. He also aligned with Rusev (AKA Miro) and Lana from 2017-2018. This angle was known for the “Rusev Day” catchphrase that was often used in promos between the duo.
