#AndNEW: Masa Kitamiya & Kaito Kiyomiya Win GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Championship

Masa Kitamiya & Kaito Kiyomiya with GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Championship

Today at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s UP TO EMOTION 2021, Masa Kitamiya and Kaito Kiyomiya captured the GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Championship. They won a decision match by defeating KONGO’s Katsuhiko Nakajima and Manabu Soya. Masa and Nakajima were the old tag team championship-winning team, but  Masa turned on Nakajima and both men refused to give up the belts. It put the belts in a difficult spot. That was until they both decided to have a decision match and elected partners to team with them. With Masa picking Kaito Kiyomiya and Nakajima picking Manabu Soya.

Kaito Kiyomiya has been in a slump, but he was able to end that when he pinned Manabu Soya to capture the belts. This is Kaito’s second reign with the tag team titles while this is Kitamiya’s fifth reign. Odds are they won’t be getting challengers until after N-1 Victory.

Ever since turning Kitamiya has had Nakajima’s number as he defeated him in a cage match hair vs hair match and has now kept a hold of the tag team titles by defeating his former partner once again.  The elevation of Masa Kitamiya has been a treat to see from Pro Wrestling NOAH this year for long time fans
