There is plenty on tap this week on NWA Powerrr. First, the NWA World Television Championship is on the line, as The Pope defends his title against the fan-favorite candidate of Sal Rinauro. Additionally, independent wrestling sensation Lady Frost will make her way to the studio to take on Jennacide, who’s had multiple encounters with the current NWA World Women’s Champion, Kamille. All of this, and more, is set for action tonight at 6:05 PM EST. Let’s run down the confirmed action prior to showtime.

NWA World Television Championship: The Pope (c) vs. Sal Rinauro
This past Friday, the National Wrestling Alliance introduced a new program to their line-up: NWA High Voltage. On this show, three men – Sal Rinauro, PJ Hawx, and Colby Corino – squared off in a match to determine a new number one contender for the NWA World Television Championship. The match reached its conclusion when Rinauro dropped the young Hawx with a flatliner, securing the pinfall victory. This marks the first time that Rinauro will challenge for the NWA World Television title in the company’s current formation. “Your Pal” will be looking to earn his first TV title, derailing the momentum of the current champion in the process.
The Pope has had no shortage of challengers since first winning the NWA World Television Championship this past October. From Luke Hawx to Matt Cross and beyond, the charismatic TV titleholder has created a name for himself in the company. As of this writing, The Pope has successfully retained the title on five occasions; per the “Lucky Seven Rule” established by the NWA last year, following seven successful defenses, the NWA World Television Champion can challenge for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship, which is currently held by “The National Treasure,” Nick Aldis. A victory over Rinauro would put The Pope that much closer to world title contention.

Lady Frost vs. Jennacide (w/Taryn Terrell)
In her NWA in-ring debut last earlier this month, Lady Frost took on Taryn Terrell. Frost entered this match with the goal to compete. Meanwhile, the bubbly yet antagonistic Terrell seemed more preoccupied with pushing the buttons of the “Ice Cold” Pittsburgh native. The match concluded when, from out of nowhere, Terrell rolled up Frost for the upset victory. Needless to say, Frost will look to avenge her loss several weeks prior. However, she won’t do so against Terrell. Instead, it will have to be in a match versus Terrell’s “Bionic” ally.
Kamille has been in the sights of Jennacide for several weeks. Think back to this past April, when the two powerhouses met on NWA Powerrr. Based on size and power alone, Jennacide may be the most viable competitor for Kamille’s NWA World Women’s Championship yet. Despite a strong effort, Kamille won the affair. Since then, Kamille went on to win the title in question from Serena Deeb at NWA When Our Shadows Fall. Most recently, Jennacide showed respect toward the champion, raising her arm during her in-ring ceremony. Whether Jennacide challenges for the title remains to be seen, especially with such contenders as Deeb and Thunder Rosa waiting in the wings. Tonight, “The Bionic Beast” will first have to – pardon the pun – put Lady Frost on ice.
Other Events Expected on NWA Powerrr:
Also set for tonight’s show is JTG and Chris Adonis sharing their thoughts about their upcoming match. On the June 15 episode of NWA Powerrr, JTG defeated El Rudo and Fred Rosser in a qualifying match for the vacant NWA National Championship. The following week, Chris Adonis won his own qualifying match, which involved Parrow and fellow Strictly Business member Thom Latimer. Since vacating the title last month to compete in a battle royal to determine a new number one contender for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship, “The Masterpiece” has been looking to regain his title. Meanwhile, JTG has been on his own trajectory toward NWA gold since debuting at When Our Shadows Fall. Tune in tonight to see what these two contenders have to say.
Last week, on NWA Powerrr, Serena Deeb and Thunder Rosa made their cases as to why they should contest for the NWA World Women’s Championship. During the segment, Kylie Rae stepped out to express her happiness to be in the company. Not long after, Skye Blue and Melina made their way out to support Rosa. It would seem that Deeb and Rosa are on a collision course toward a match. On tonight’s episode, however, it will be Rae and Melina that meet in a confrontation. Keep in mind that “Smiley” Kylie got the roll-up victory over Melina in their tag team match at When Our Shadows Fall. Suffice to say, the former five-time WWE women’s titleholder is seeking retribution.
“The Masked Mystery Man” will also be on the show to speak to May Valentine. Last week’s show saw the masked man win his first NWA match over Matthew Mims. Though he’s been on NWA programming for a few weeks now, there’s not much that’s known about the masked man in question. Perhaps viewers will get more insight as to what these goals are, what his ambitions entail, and who he may target next. Valentine will ask the hard-hitting questions to learn more.
Finally, it’s expected that Nick Aldis and Kamille, the top men’s and women’s titleholders in the National Wrestling Aliance, will announce a new NWA series. What form will this series take? Will it be more in line with a traditional professional wrestling show? Perhaps it will be more similar to a video podcast. Aldis and Kamille will share more details tonight on NWA Powerrr.
