IMPACT Wrestling has a new number one contender for the IMPACT Wrestling World Championship. Moose won the six-way match in the main event of Under Siege to become the number one contender to current IMPACT World Champion Kenny Omega. Moose defeated Chris Bey, Matt Cardona, Sami Callihan, Chris Sabin, and Trey Miguel in the main event of the show to solidify his title shot. He pinned Sabin to end the match after a flurry of shots to Sabin’s surgically repaired knee.

Moose defeated James Storm to qualify for the match on IMPACT on AXS TV. Six matches were made to determine a new number one contender after Omega defeated Rich Swann at Rebellion. Due to the stipulations of the match, no rematch clause was granted. This left IMPACT without a number one contender, and a line out Scott D’Amore‘s door of eager competitors ready to earn their shot. D’Aore made the six qualifying matches over two weeks on IMPACT to set the field for Under Siege.
The six competitors squared off this past week on IMPACT on AXS in a six-man tag match. Sami Callihan was victorious in that match after pinning Chris Sabin for the victory. The alliances were temporary as the six men stepped into the ring tonight. All of them eager to be the next one to challenge Kenny Omega for the title.
If Moose is able to defeat Kenny Omega, this will be his first reign as IMPACT World Champion. He previously unofficially held the TNA World Heavyweight championship. We will see if he is able to defeat Omega and bring the title back to an IMPACT wrestler.
