Field Set for IMPACT Wrestling Under Siege Main Event

IMPACT Wrestling Under Siege

The main event for Under Siege, the next IMPACT! Plus event, is now set. Chris Bey, Matt Cardona, Sami Callihan, Chris Sabin, Trey Miguel, and Moose will compete in a six-way match to determine who will become the new number one contender for the IMPACT World Championship.

Kenny Omega defeated Rich Swann at Rebellion to become the IMPACT World Champion. No rematch clause was given for either Omega or Swann due to the title vs. title stipulation. This left IMPACT needing a challenger for Omega. IMPACT executive Scott D’Amore started the April 29th edition of IMPACT addressing the locker room. He determined a six-man match would take place in the main event of Under Siege to crown a new number one contender. Six matches were made over the April 29th and May 6th editions of IMPACT to determine a new number one contender.

On the April 26th edition of IMPACT, a returning Chris Bey defeated Jake Something after an outside assist from Rohit Raju. Matt Cardona defeated Brian Myers in a Rebellion rematch, and Sami Callihan defeated Eddie Edwards by disqualification after interference from The Good Brothers and Kenny Omega.

On the May 6th edition of IMPACT, Chris Sabin defeated Violent by Design member Rhino. Trey Miguel defeated Rohit Raju, and Moose defeated James Storm to qualify.

These six men will now compete in the main event of Under Siege for the right to challenge Kenny Omega, and bring the IMPACT World Championship back to its home promotion.
