WWE announced the most recent influx of talent to the Performance Center. This time it is exclusively international talent headlined by Sarray, who has already made an impression on NXT, and Hideki Suzuki, a veteran who is adding to the coaching team at the PC. Here’s a look at the entire class.
Jennifer Michell Cantu Iglesias
A second-generation powerlifter Iglesias has been training to debut since 2019 and took part in a WWE tryout in 2019. Her father Bronco competed for Mexican giants CMLL.
Sanjana George
From India, George is a mixed martial artist with a 5-1 record. George has no wrestling experience
Sari Fujimura (Sarray)
Sarray has already made her presence felt on NXT during her debut against Zoey Starke. She competed in Japan under the name Sareee primarily for World Woman Pro Wrestling-Diana before breaking out in 2019 when she became world champion in Sendai Girls and became a double champion. Sarray was supposed to join WWE last year but COVID-19 stopped her in her tracks which allowed her to have a final run in Japan which was highlighted by her winning the SEAdLINNNG tag titles alongside Yoshiko.
Hideki Suzuki
Suzuki has long been rumored to be joining WWE and it is now official as he joins the coaching team. Suzuki was trained by legendary wrestler Billy Robinson and worked primarily for the MMA influenced Inoki Genome Federation in his early days. He kept this style and brought it everywhere he worked be it ZERO1, Big Japan Wrestling, or Pro Wrestling NOAH. Suzuki was heavily decorated during his time in Japan winning the BJW Heavyweight title twice, the ZERO1 World Heavyweight Championship, and the WRESTLE-1 title among others.
Matt Farrelly (Matty Wahlberg)
Farrelly was recently rumored to be heading to WWE and it has now been made official. Farrelly competed all over Australia winning gold in Newy Pro, Future Wrestling Australia, and Wrestling GO! while competing for major promotions all over the country.
Stephanie De Landre (Steph De Lander)
Another name that has been linked to WWE for a long time is the former Steph De Lander. Landre took part in WWE’s women’s only tryout in the UK and has been on their radar ever since. Landre is the current Newy Pro women’s champion and also held the MCW and VPW women’s championships. Landre has competed in the U.S. for independent trail blazers SHIMMER Wrestling.
