Preview: Ice Ribbon Korakuen Hall (3/27/21)

Ice Ribbon Korakuen Hall

Ice Ribbon returns to Korakuen Hall on March 27 with a card that features two title matches and the second match of Suzu Suzuki’s seven-match series. The standout match of the show is the highly anticipated clash between Maya Yukihi and Tsukasa Fujimoto. This show is currently set to air on April 6th on Samurai TV.

Banny Oikawa, Maika Ozaki, Rina Yamashita and Yuuki Mashiro v Totoro Satsuki, Tsukushi Haruka, Saori Anou and Yappy

Ice Ribbon Korakuen March 27

The show kicks off with a huge eight-woman tag match featuring an interesting mix of wrestlers. One story in this is Yappy and Mashiro facing off again after Mashiro picked up a shocking victory during the P’s League tournament. It has continued on to social media with Yappy using different tactics to torture her at the dojo so it’ll be interesting to see what happens when Yappy comes face to face with Mashiro’s friends in RebelxEnemy. With all this talent in one ring, it’s sure to be a fun opener with bright spots for everyone.

Triangle Ribbon Championship Ram Kaichow (c) v Uno Matsuya v Ibuki Hoshi

Triangle Ribbon Defense

The Triangle Ribbon Championship is on the line as RebelxEnemy’s Ram Kaichow defends against Uno Matsuya from Joint Army and Ibuki Hoshi. Looking to keep her title in this one, Ram does have a good chance as she has already beaten Uno in a title match before. While Ram has had a lot of good showings in Ice Ribbon and her home promotion 666, Hoshi has been on quite the winning streak in the build-up to this which includes wins over Uno. This is a difficult match to call a winner but the champion could pull off another victory.

Akane Fujita, Risa Sera and Miku Aono v Tae Honma, Cherry and Thekla

Trios Action

Since there is still time to go until Risa and Thekla’s big match for the FantastICE title, there’s a chance for one of them to get the upper hand. Joint Army’s Tae Honma and Cherry teaming up once again alongside Thekla make for a very strong team in a match that could go in any direction. Miku Aono comes back after losing to Fujimoto on the March 20th show. Akane and Risa have also picked up a victory as a tag team which shows that they can actually work together well. It’s hard to tell who might win but there’s bound to be a lot of build towards Thekla and Risa’s upcoming match.

Suzu Suzuki Seven Match Hardcore Series: Takashi Sasaki v Suzu Suzuki

Suzu Suzuki Deathmatch Trial Series Match 2

The second match of Suzu Suzuki’s Seven Match Series is against FREEDOMS’ Takashi Sasaki. Suzu lost the first match to Yuko Miyamoto but despite her loss, she left looking like the star she is and showed that she can definitely hold her own when it comes to hardcore matches. Takashi Sasaki is a 24-year veteran whose scaffold match against Yuko Miyamoto actually inspired Suzu Suzuki, even if she did end up a bigger fan of Miyamoto in the end. This match is bound to be as incredible as the first one was, but sadly it doesn’t look like Suzu is going to get the win in this one either.

Kurumi Hiiragi and Hiroyo Matsumoto v Hamuko Hoshi and Mochi Miyagi

Kurumi Hiiragi & Hiroyo Matsumoto vs Hamuko Hoshi & Moci Miyagi

Hiroyo and Kurumi team up again after getting a big win over the team of Suzu and Saori on March 20th. This is a team that has good chemistry together and they could make quite a real challenge for the Ice Ribbon Tag titles that are currently held by RebelxEnemy. This is only the second time that the Lovely Butchers Hamuko and Mochi have teamed up in 2021 as Mochi has focused more on the Frank Sisters. With Hiroyo and Kurumi having already picked up a victory, it is expected that they will win once again in what should be a good tag match.

IcexInfinity Championship Tsukasa Fujimoto (c) v Maya Yukihi

Ice Ribbon Korakuen Hall

After losing the title to Suzuki back in 2020, Yukihi has another chance at the IcexInfinity, this time, against Tsukasa Fujimoto. This match was made after Yukihi’s RebelxEnemy teammate Rina Yamashita missed out on winning the championship and Tsukasa challenged Yukihi as her next opponent. When Yukihi first won the championship back in 2018, she beat Tsukasa so that already looks good in Yuki’s favor. However, when it comes to big matches like this, Tsukasa is known for pulling out every single trick in her book and that is exactly why she has held this title a record seven times. While this could go either way, with Tsukasa continuing her already strong reign or Yukiihi becoming double champion with her tag title, it is practically confirmed that this is going to be the match of the night and strong contender for Ice Ribbon’s Match of the Year.
